Race Results: International Drag Fest 2012 - Day 3

On the third and last day of Internatinal Drag Fest 2012 we had 5 categories
Krioyo Bracket, Super Comp Bike 8.90, Krioyo Outlaw Bike, Extreme Imports and
Junior Dragster.
Winner Krioyo Bracket is Shannon Rosalina (Dragster) followed by Joselito Martis (Aruba, Ford Mustang).
Balachie Racing represented by Rendolf Torbed (Hayabusa Nitrous) and Djo De Freitas (Suzuki GSX) Andrade wins Super Comp Bike 8.90.
In the Krioyo Outlaw Bike category it was Edburth Broos (Hayabusa Turbo) who won the 1st place followed by Rendolf Torbed (Hayabusa Nitrous).
Joy Croeze (Aruba, Toyota Scion Turbo) beats Ingomar Meyer (Mazda RX-3 Turbo) in the Extreme Import category. Winner Junior Dragster category Leendrick Lacle ("The Breeze") followed by Reggie Eduarda ("Adrenaline Rush").

Race Results: International Drag Fest 2012 - Day 2

On the second day of International Drag Fest 2012 we had 5 categories Import Class,
Sportsman Bike, Super Comp 8.90, Super Street 10.90 and Junior Dragster.
Jairzhino Tromp (Aruba, Pickup 120Y) wins Import Class while Clifton Nicolina
while breaking an drive axle ends 2nd place.
In the Sportsman Bike category 1st place goes to Junny Lourens (Hayabusa) followed
by Urny Martina (Hayabusa).
Eldrick Panneflek (Aruba, Chevy Altered T23) wins Super Comp. Swindley Martina redlights
and ends 2nd place.
Reyes Brothers from Aruba dominated the Super Street category.
1st Place for Jose Roberto Reyes (Aruba, Ford Mustang). 2nd Place for Jean-Carlo Reyes
(Aruba, Dodge Dart).
Junior Dragster winners for today are the Fingal twin sisters Christine and Celine Fingal.

On the first day of International Drag Fest 2012 we had 5 categories ET Bracket (NO-Box),
Quick32 Bike, Pro Comp 7.90, Super Gas 9.90 and Junior Dragster.
A day after the street legal event the same results came back again in the NO-Box Category.
Jose Roberto Reyes (Aruba, Mustang) beats Jeritza Jansen (Aruba, Mustang) again in the ET Bracket finals.
Sajid Oneil (Hayabusa) with perfect reaction time in the finals wins Quick32 Bike.
Kenchi Berkemeyer (Suzuki GSX-R) takes 2nd place with a redlight.
Same as last year 1st Place Pro Comp 7.90 category goes to Shannon Rosalina (Dragster) followed
by Cajochi Schoot (Roadster).
Kedy Koolman (Aruba, Mustang) wins Super Gas 9.90. Newcomer Vienne Kwidama, with an outstanding
performance this weekend, ends 2nd place.
Celine Fingal (Aruba, "Girl Power 1") wins in the Junior Dragster category.
Leendrick Lacle (Aruba, "The Breeze") ends 2nd place.

Race Results: Street Legal #1 (28APR2012)

Operation Street Legal 2012 started the racing season with a spectacular street legal event.
Since this event was a day before the International Drag Races a lot international
participants also joined this race.
Winner Street Bracket is defending champion Otmar Conradus (VW Golf VR6). 2nd place for
Trevin Isenia (VW Beetle).
In the Box category 1st place for Kedy Koolman (Aruba, Ford Mustang) while
Eldrick Panneflek (Aruba, Altered) takes 2nd place.
Jose Robert Reyes (Aruba, Mustang) wins the No-Box category followed by Jeritza Jansen (Aruba, Mustang).
Winner Street ET Bike is Burthy Kock (Aruba, Suzuki GSX). Cleo Soerka (Hayabusa) could not make the pass and ended 2nd place.

Drag Fest 2012 Special Attraction: Junior Dragsters

For a long time already Aruba has a special racing category for kids called
Junior Dragster (Jr Dragster).
The JR Dragster category offers kids ages 8-17 a chance to race half-scale dragsters in a
controlled environment.
The NHRA has a whole special league dedicated to Jr Dragster (http://jrdragster.nhra.com).
During Drag Fest 2012 there will be 4 Jr Dragsters coming from Aruba.

Aruba Racers Ready For International Drag Fest 2012

Racers from Aruba have loaded their vehicles today in the containers.
From Aruba we are expecting 20 Cars, 12 Bikes and 4 Jr Dragsters.
Upcoming Monday Don Andres will take care of shipping all these containers safely to Curaçao.

Upcoming Events: Drag Fest & Street Legal Point Series 2012

Last Thursday 12APR2012 the D.R.A.C. (Drag Racing Association Curacao) organized
an kick-off information meeting for all drivers regarding the upcoming International Drag Race
titled "Drag Fest 2012" and the 2012 Street Legal Point-series.

A huge amount of drivers, car owners and fans assisted to this meeting and showed their
support for all the 4 organizations involved.
